Description
The Aval du Creux Hotel, Sark comprises beautiful stone buildings in south facing gardens close to the village. Much of the hotel was built by expert local stonemasons in granite as part of an extensive improvement and refurbishment programme
You can expect a warm welcome from the moment you step into the airy reception. The agreeable sight of bright glass, gleaming silver and linen tablecloths in the Lobster Restaurant hints at the wealth of delicious dishes to be sampled. Soft laughter from the bar and the thought of a cool drink on the sun terrace or in the lounge is a common distraction.
As you would expect from a world class establishment, the hotel provides the highest standards of service and hospitality. It is centrally heated throughout and all 20 rooms are en-suite with remote control television and satellite channels, hairdryer, trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephones with Internet access. All rooms cater for two adults and some will accommodate up to four children. Deluxe rooms have their own private balcony or veranda.
Youngsters love the modern heated swimming pool with waterfall and splash pool and the play area.
If you fancy an evening off, we can arrange a child minding service, and don’t worry about laundry, just ask and we can take care of this for you.
Internationally renowned for superb cuisine the Lobster Restaurant serves the freshest local seafood, island produce and a wide variety of other delicious dishes and fine wines from the extensive wine list.
The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, high-tea and evening meals and all food can be served al-fresco on the poolside terrace. In the afternoons chef offers a tempting selection of light dishes to sustain you until the next gastronomic encounter.
Growing up surrounded by the sea, islanders have a keen appreciation of fine seafood, it isn’t unusual to see a local scallop diver stop at the kitchen door with his catch fresh from the Sark waters, likewise it isn’t just visitors who love to eat at the hotel, locals are often to be found enjoying the same fresh food, expertly prepared and exquisitely presented.
Children are welcome. There is a special menu at lunch and in the evening child-sized portions from the full menu are available on request.
With wines from France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the New World there is something to suit every taste and budget. We also feature wines from the hotel’s South African vineyard Rickety Bridge Winery.
